Swigart is a 2 piece player, maybe 2 1/2 if somebody's desperate, he's had almost 2,000 career plate appearances and is slugging .440 with a career OPS of .779 which isn't a world beater and James is terrible. The picks are 1 1/2 pieces but Brown is awful so he's 1/2 a piece light IMO, the problem is Oakland doesn't really have anyone else you would want. I love that Oakland have 5 CPs on [url=http://www.simdynasty.com/player.jsp?player=nobody&mode=stats&id=12397699]Lewis[/url], kind of says a lot about his minor league system.

I think swigart is more of a 2 1/2 to 3 piece guy. you're right about his stats, but he's been going through his prime development years over that time, so he's going to be better than those numbers going forward and he's only 27.
neither brown nor james add any value to either side, so with the picks at 1 1/2 pieces i'd say he's light by a piece to a piece and a half. more to the point, he's asking for a 27 year old middle of the order hitter vs rhp without offering any kind of substantial asset in return. picks are fine, but they don't do well as core assets in a deal for this kind of player, imo.
I do wonder why the gnl only seems to use this board to shame people though. :lol:

I think it's fair to say we both benefited from that deal since he's found homes for Swigart and Ward.
