Trade advice in the Ozzie Smith League (Private/Speed League)

I need your help with this trade offer. This is a (Private/Speed League)

I have been offered:

Doesn't look like a bad offer. Seeing the draft would give us a better idea if it's fair or not seeing you have the 4th overall.

I would say the top two is easily Lindstrom and Minton, but after them there aren't any guys who I would rather have over Merchant. Unless you definitely think you can get one of the two, I'd probably accept it.

That is very interesting, but I'd probably decline. The late first might net you a guy like George Terrell (the type of guys I love), but he's probably gone before that late pick. The 4th pick likely lands you one of the guys in my top 3 (at a glance, the only guys I'd be excited about getting):

1-Phil Minton
2-George Terrell
3-Ernie Young (convert him to Catcher)

Although you could roll the dice, get a decent prospect in Merchant and a tradeable vet in Casian, and hope a guy like Terrell drops.

I agree with Cougars. Obviously I'd first see if I could trade up to the #2, but other than that I'd rather have those pieces. Merchant's just as good or better than what you should typically get from that draft at #4, plus you get a 1st rounder AND a a piece in Casian you can net something decent for (some owners eyes will bug out that those grades, though his hitting stats aren't too hot).

Well, I don't agree with Cougars about Lindstrom, unless there's another Lindstrom that isn't that SS with awful vLHP grades and earlyish birthday.

I know Lindstrom isn't ideal, but he has solid stats vs RHP, a great speed/bunt mix, great defense, and great health and will be an ideal defensive SS with decent offensive potential. Worst case scenario he becomes a good platoon guy vs RHP, which isn't great, but I don't see much else worth it in this draft.

Looks like the deal was accepted... let's hope Terrell falls to you with the late pick! If so, then it's a solid deal.
