Whatever the reason, don't sign up for a team if you don't wont to follow through with it. You don't have to have a active message board to be fun. The fun is building a team that can compete and win that ring.
It might take a few months but don't ever give up. I haven't in any my leagues, I may suck but I think I can turn it around, maybe not this month or next month, but hopefully month's down the road.
Hang in their guys, we didn't sign up for this to just trash it.

I have had numerous teams wanting me to put their team up for sale. Some of it has to with certain teams not being active, or message board is dead, or your team is sucking and you don't want to rebuild it because you have too many teams to deal with.Whatever the reason, don't sign up for a team if you don't wont to follow through with it. This league is almost DEAD.
Nobody is buying more teams.
I play if my team sucks or is doing great, being active in message board is not that important but having a full active league is.
I hate seeing GREAT players, #1 draft picks sitting on the bench and not playing because 13 teams aren't active and their players are just rotting. Can't trade for them. Most of those 13 inactives have the worst records and get the top picks in the draft. A lot of times those top picks end up inactives on a team without an owner.

Say what you will, 13 teams have been inactive for longer then a month. More then half the league hasn't signed in.This league is almost DEAD.

Sorry about the rant guys, a little too much of Geo's Vodka. And yes we have way too many inactives and everyone is getting on the out of town train. Not much I can do on the upgrade thing.No way I am going to be able to fill this league, so if you guys want to take a vote on making this the last season, post your thoughts here.

or can we get creative(crazy)? how about we each have a free minor league team? we use it to develop guys and are forced to promote to the big club if they reach a certain status. i dunno just thinking

i think we have some good owners here. is there any way we can reduce the number of teams? have a contraction draft?or can we get creative(crazy)? how about we each have a free minor league team? we use it to develop guys and are forced to promote to the big club if they reach a certain status. i dunno just thinking

Also don't think we can fill seats until Sim is up to date and Chris health is not great, so that won't happen soon. I pray for his good health.
I don't want to break up the league but also don't want to continue to pay for league that has so many inactives.

I think if Chris can give new owners a special discount to buy a team in this league, we might be able to save it. What we need is an incentive to get some of the guys from the free leagues to jump in.We have Dollar General, maybe we can have Dollar League. That's the key.

As for 32 team leagues the FHFL is stronger than ever with a couple of issues I am worried about 3 players only but it stands on a rock formation at any cost....
Mafl seems to be back a little better...
EDFL is strong as a 16 team league but worry some 2 vacant teams in very strong competition.
Part time players should be considered assets for taking the time to set up their teams despite the fact we see them once a week or just a tidbit less....
Another solution is give the commish partial roster control in the pre season of innactive teams where he can drop players default the draft and set up basic play books with ultimate responsibility. That would help a heck of alot in preventing multiple drafts of punters and 0-16 seasons over and over again. As Commish of 2 leagues I trust myself and Dawg to be capable of this. Pre season only as not to affect game by game regular season.

The simplest solution is to clean up the most inactive of the leagues and concentate on the strongest of each 32 and 16 team leagues... WPFL and TDFL have 6 and 9 unowed teams and I would like to know if any player active from there are not in this league. They can easily if they wish be transferfed as owners to our league and add to the competition They deserve quality for being paid players. As said before... this is not the only league with this problem.
Perhaps the admin can transfer all active teams to one new league (so no new initial draft...just start a new league with the team you are having)?
Is this something to investigate?
Finding new players will be hard (or near impossible) and going on like this......is not for me.

Counted 9 owners active for the last week or so......in my division I seem to be the only one still active. I'm afraid this league is dead.As said before... this is not the only league with this problem.

I had 2 people ask me for the password, but haven't joined yet. Chris is suppose to downsize us so I can get this filled. We will have to see what happens.

We should probably merge all of the active owners into one league and at least try for 16 active owners if possible.Pages: 1
