It's not unusual. These types of players have crazy years. Next season he might be lucky to get to .220 BA, though the power will always be there.
If he still had Improves, and got to B- and B Contact, he could hit in the .250s easily and consistently. As he's into his 30s, the owner will just have to be satisfied with 30+ HRs and a 80+ RBIs for the next couple seasons. Woe is him.
