You ever have one of those games where you feel like you might have broken the game engine

So I'm watching it via Gamecast as I typically do. Since it is early in the season, I'm not too invested either way. If I win, it's nice. I certainly would expect to beat a Chicago squad that is currently in a downswing while at home. For some reason around the time we got into extra innings, I just started imagining the game going on forever as both our crummy lineups struggled to score. Then, the ridiculous result of it all. Sometimes you really can wonder if there is a ghost in the machine. Like I wonder if the game engine was like, I'm going to give spicoli306 the win, but how can I make it in the most maddening and ludicrous way possible. Anyways, I probably have too much time on my hands. :spin:

It was a good game! I watched it without reading any of your commentary, so it was fun trying to guess when the "game engine breaking" was going to happen. It totally reminded me of this game: http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/SEA/SEA201306050.shtml So I assumed you were going to come back and tie, and then win later, but then you just won it right then.

Thanks for checking it out, Lyrici. Also, thanks for including the reference to the Mariners game. That certainly looks like an insane game. Was not aware of it at all until now. I'll check it out.

2 outs. Top of the 14th. ~100% chance White Sox win. You can't get much closer to a sure thing. Then to comeback from those odds just to lose it in the 16th. Shakespeare couldn't write better tragedy. Man, the Mariners have had a tough last 16 years. Speaking as a lifelong Cubs fan, I really hope your fanbase catches a break soon.

Yeah, I remember I was driving home from work, I could tell you the exact spot on my route, listening to the Mariners game, when Kyle Seager smashed the grand slam to tie it up. My mind was blown. Too bad they ultimately still lost, but still a fun game nonetheless..... Yeah, I'd like to see some more wins, that's for sure, haha. The Mariners are all hurt right now though, so maybe not sooner than later... fingers eternally crossed...
