Game balls were awarded to all the Detroit ushers, who kept the hordes of patrons from leaving immediately after the singing of The National Anthem.

The Cleveland Ironmen pitched the first-ever Curley Lambeau League shutout, 9-0, in their lid-lifter against the Detroit Snipers, unofficially dubbed "The Anemia Bowl."Game balls were awarded to all the Detroit ushers, who kept the hordes of patrons from leaving immediately after the singing of The National Anthem.
Congratulations to all 3 of them- well done.

And then Cleveland gets shut out in second game. You guys need to quit wearing leather helmets and upgrade.

Yeah, right. My offense is gonna be 11 egg farmers until a couple of drafts pass and some worthwhile advice of how to set up advanced coaching schemes for both offense and defense for those who have no experience with it is offered. This was promised and never delivered (real shock- too scared to help.) "Maybe you run too much" or "Maybe you pass to much" are worthless and nothing was offered for defense.

I've allowed a grand total of 13 points allowed in 2 and a half games so my defense has been playing pretty well so far
As far as seeking advice and knowledge. Just ask. I've been known to email owners my playbooks but I'm not going to do anymore.

Without giving away my playbook I will say I don't play deep zone as much as the old days. Maybe 20 percent on third and very long situations. I just play what I think the opposing offense might do in certain yard and situation. I play the run 50-60 of the time on first down. Then that number wittles down as the situation changes. I sprinkle in some man to man for about 20% of the time, but you better have the personnel to play man to man. Remember if you call run defense and the offense calls pass, your defense becomes a man to man anyways. I blitz you with the Sam about 20% and increase that as the situation becomes more of a passing situation.I've allowed a grand total of 13 points allowed in 2 and a half games so my defense has been playing pretty well so far

My philosophy on defense is to make an offense work. Make you go 15+ plays to go 80 yards. The idea is that along the way something bad will happen. A sack, a penalty or a turnover. I find it you want more picks, have to play m2m more. I play it about 20 all the time. Well that's my 2cents

I mentioned that I Rachet up the blitz as the situation becomes a more obvious passing down. An example is In a 3rd and medium situation. I'll Sam blitz about 35, max blitz 5, deep zone 10, m2m 20, bal run cov 30. The trick is, I've found never do much of one thing. Except on 1st down, where I play run 50%, and if I'm wrong I feel ok that I have the defenders to play m2m. First down sets the table. Once it becomes 2nd and 10, then I become more aggressive in terms of what I intend to do with the opposing offense.

I actually have never once used m2m and I would have to say I do not get that many interceptions. Maybe I will try it.Pages: 1
