I think it is about time for a divisional realignment based on games won over the last 3-5 seasons.
For example the Divisions would like this after I used 5 past seasons.
AFC WEST
Charlotte
San Jose
Florida
Denver
AFC EAST
Brooklyn
Portland
Green Bay
Houston
NFC WEST
Buffalo
Boston
Baltimore
Shreveport
NFC EAST
Dallas
Cleveland
Chicago
Seattle
That way the strong teams play someone of their caliber twice a season and the weaker teams might make the playoffs, thereby creating excitement and an incentive to stay.
Let me know what you all think.

I don't mind a change up or a challenge; but one must admit the AFC West becomes a bracket of death...probably the 4 most winning franchises over the last decade

I can approach Chris with the idea. Not sure if it's workable. If it is possible, it would require a league majority vote to go forward. There are some more mechanics and/or roadblocks but we can discuss those as this goes further. Let me run the idea by admin just to check its viability.
I suspect we'd need to "reset" the league. But we'll see.
Side note: this is the perfect time for someone else to take the reigns. I'll bring this to Chris, but as I mentioned months ago, is like someone else to take the commish job. I don't have the time to do it effectively. With that said, I'm not in a position to really shepard along a change of this magnitude.

Not probably, is. While the NFC EAST is the 4 least winning franchises over the last decade, thereby becoming the bracket of hope

My understanding of the realignment process. It is random, based in part on NFL division alignment. Geographic proximity. You kind of get what you get.

I would like to think that is true, but in the free leagues, you get put in a different division with different opponents each new season. I have been in the KWFL since 85 (currently the 2003 season) and have not played in the same division in back to back seasons nor have I had the same divisional opponent more than three times in a row
Before anyone says, "but its a free league so new people are currently coming and going." which may be true, but in this league 30/32 team owners are returning for another season, 3 from the early 60's when they began. So, if it can happen there, it should be able to generate randomness here, if placement is not available.
