Bunting

Has Bunting picked up? I was reading the play by play in a private league and I noticed an A+ bunt hitter bunt for a hit. Then later a pitcher lay down a sacrifice bunt. I don't read every game play by play like some of you so has it picked up or is it about the same?

Well sacrifice bunts are pretty common in SimD, as far as I have seen. Guys with A+ bunt may bunt quite often, and the ones who have a speed/bunt average of 76 or above may bunt quite often. Guys with A+ bunt and speed can often get around a 15 point boost in .AVG because of bunting for hits.

They increased the number of draftees with red letter bunting skills sometime last year. That has led to the increase in bunt hits.

It's one of my key sort criteria for free agents in salary leagues, and drafts in all leagues. If you get red letter speed and bunting, plus some red bat skills, dude will be an all-star pretty much all the time.

When exactly did this happen, I just did a search for "bunt" and "bunting" from Admin and there's nothing mentioned.
