Don't see this often

Coming off a season where he threw a career high 40 TDs and posted a QB rating of 86.9 while throwing for over 4,500 yards Vic Anderson retires at the ripe old age of 35. I guess he knew he'd never be able to compete as an older QB with poor health and have the kind of success older QBs who didn't retire have, you know guys like Hughes, Duich or Holmes .

I know retirement is a bit of a coin toss but when a guy throws for 4,600 yards and 40 TDs while leading his team to the playoffs I really think he should stick around.

That's strange but at the same time I'm a bit relieved and sad because he was my inspiration to get Leon Parker.

I don't think Brady, Manning, or Brees, would hang them up after a year like that, lol. Too bad you can't lure him out of retirement for one more year. Some guys you want to retire, and they hang around on the free agency list for years.
Guess we all have to go sometime right?? lol

It's not a huge deal as I was likely going to hand over the #1 job to Redden anyway but I just wonder what the logic is .

I'm assuming Anderson went due to his health but the other three I linked to were all orange health as well and none of them were as successful as Anderson.
