wait, what?

July 24, 2015 at 11:12PM View BBCode

In overtime today on the first possession on second and 4 near the red zone my team abruptly kicks (and misses) a field goal... But why would they do this? It was second down and we had the ball first so the only way to end the game would have been a touchdown. Forget the fact my kicker sucks for missing a short FG, but I don't understand why we attempted the field goal to begin with, it wasn't even third down. Am I missing something?

yea man i feel u, I've def lost that way, i almost feel bad about winning.....but I think we don't have the new NFL rule, so like I have seen my team do the same thing and when its within like a 30 yarder they just kick it....i dunno man.

You played a great game, it's hard to contain Wingate and Watts at the same time, I'm not upset about loosing as I was shocked I came back to tie it in the fourth but that has got to be one of the worst playcalls of all time. The QB is making the throws, yeah the running back is down but what the hell? At least let him go to fourth down before kicking a field goal, especially on the first possession in OT, it makes no sense.

otherwise a great game, just a head scratcher at the end after a great comeback in the fourth. Today was only my third interception on the season. I'm sure there must be something buried in my settings somewhere.

do we really not have the new NFL rule?

During overtime on any down if within (blank) yards and chance of making is (%) kick field goal.

Wingate is no slouch either which is why I was afraid to commit the defense to stopping Watts. Even once I did, it didn't really matter...

We definitely do not have the new NFL overtime rule. First one to score wins--true sudden death in the FHFL, for better or worse.

Sigh, I guess that makes sense,by assuming we had it, I didn't pay attention to the settings. That and three starting injuries to rb, CB and DE have really made this a frustrating two games at the worst possible time
