Is there more to that trade than just those two players?

Yes

Are we allowed to know what the other parameters are? I don't see them anywhere and that trade seems extremely lopsided.

As part of the trade between the teams (Cleveland & Pittsburgh), two additional parameters were discussed and agreed upon.
In addition to the swaping of talent between the teams, there is a grace period of 12 months for either athlete to acclimate to his new team and start to perform as promised or his jersey number will be revoked and a new number given.
At the start of the summer, Cleveland has also agreed to pet-sit my budgies in exchange for a bi-weekly waxing of his hairless cat, "Fluffy". If this works out well, then it may expand to include his dog "Wrinkles", & my recently purchased Hippo.
Lawn care and child raising were briefly thrown about as other trade ideas , but we decided not to pursue them in case we ran into scheduling issues.
He did, however, send me a nice box of steaks as compensation for his players lack of current production.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact Cleveland as well, and we'll do our best to answer them.

Pathetic deal for Cleveland. And you're as classy and intelligent as always.

Is it typical to discuss the insight of trades publicly? I looked through the rest of the message board and didn?t see anyone else doing such (other than noting CP exchange-involved trades). Maybe it happened a lot pre-merger. That being said, sure I?ll tell you...

It all started when Elmer Peterson was playing like crap. I thought to myself, man, Elmer is playing like crap. Soon later, I wanted to add someone to my major league roster. I wanted to DFA Elmer to do it. I couldn?t because he was undroppable. I was annoyed by this. So I figured I?d see if I could trade him for something. I put him on the trade block. Wiz contacted me about him. We discussed some players, and eventually agreed upon Juan Hendrix.

From my point of view, I got a 25 year old pitcher, who might end up being good for a player I didn?t want and still don?t miss.

Let me know if you need more.

I didn't ask for details to anyone's life. I simply asked if there were coaching points or ANYthing to make that trade look better. I figured there had to be something else involved. I didn't need your thought process or Pittsburgh's ridiculously juvenile response.

Plain and simple, it was a TERRIBLE, just horrible deal. Playing poorly or not, you gave up a superstar stud for a pitcher you could have easily found on the waiver wire. That guy is that bad. He may improve a little but you're pretty much going to get what he's done this season. He sucks and always will. Giving up a stud for that guy is like burning team resources for no reason.

Like I said above, I just wanted someone to tell me if there were more details because you got hosed on that deal. And Pittsburgh's owner is a dunce who always takes this path with his responses. I wouldn't expect anything else from him. It just sucks when trades like this go down and it has the legitimate possibility of affecting the league and pennant races. I wish I had been paying attention a little more but, hey, life's busy. We passed the 96 hour barrier to protest. We're stuck with this stinker.

Lyric17, I have a bunch of B players I will be willing to give up for some of your A, A- players. Let's talk.

You want Ray Shero?

Well, now that I have really looked at your A, A- players, no. You are going through what I went through several years ago, my good players started to get old and now I am sitting with a bunch of B, B+ players. I notice you have Gary Sommers, I traded him when he was young, he has turned into a good player. As for Ray Shero, going to be tough to trade a 35 year old with D health.
I still think you got the short-end of the stick with the trade mentioned above, good-luck.
