Crawford Update

Well it seems my team is running at about our normal pace where we start out slow and make up ground in the 2nd half of the season. Not sure if this team has strength to make that push as I had several players with declines this past off season.

We still have several players in their prime but seem to have a slow start, Sergio Plunk and Bob Hadley. Other stars are running strong so far, Harville, Meinke and Lozado. The pitching is still strong but up and down, again 2nd half will tell.

So here is my plan, subject to change. I will give this team until the 1st of August, game 108 to reevaluate my team. After that series with San Diego, who seems to be on target to take first in the NL, I will either go forward with this run or blow up the team and start a rebuild. I want to get the most for my good pieces and that might be the time to do it, especially with upcoming teams that have a chance or solid teams that want to hold their ground.

So good luck to all and let me know if you might have some interest via U2U. Of course if this team goes down hill from here I could make this change sooner. Bottom line this is definitely the last season before we start to rebuild.

Good luck to all,
Mike

Well it's after game 108 and even though we are not where we'd like to be we are not out of it by no means. Nobody in the NL seems to want to run away with this. So the Crawfords are going to stand pat to see how this plays out.

Of course if anyone wants to roll me over with some outstanding offer I will consider it.

Good luck to all the rest of the season!
