I don't know about 11 games, but they sure as hell have a great roster.

The only possible explanation is that Lawman23 is a much better manager than you are. :-)

Starting pitching I think is the difference thus far. Red letter control starters vs. blue letter control starters. Also a little luck , like my closer that I picked up off the waiver wire a few years ago. He won FOY last season and is way out front again this year with 40 saves through the first 96 games. We are #1 and #2 in team hitting , I think the difference so far is pitching. Everybody knows once the playoffs begin , ABE throws all common sense out the window and it's just a big crap shoot.

a 'little' luck is an understatement. that 'closer' wouldn't even make my ROSTER.

hell, i have an SP in my pen who is better than anyone in your pen and i can't even use him. he'll probably retire from lack of use.

to be honest you have the worst bullpen i have ever seen on a team that far ahead this late in the season. that's from almost 8 years of experience.

and it's not my settings as i use the same in every league where i am competing.

Bundy, don't you whine about your bad luck in EVERY league you're in?? Maybe it IS your settings....there's really no other explanation, given that you're always claiming to have the best team in the league~

ahem......take a look at the all time WS winner and all time WS appearance lists.

it's NOT my settings.

tell me how settings can make an team of all star bats suck against pitchers that wouldn't make my roster. tell me how settings can make other teams magically knock out stud SP's in the 1st inning. tell me how settings can make other teams come back in late innings against stud RP's.

PLEASE TELL US ALL.

the fact is that it's ABE being a jaggoff as usual. he's the reason that i'm the only person to see 130 more WS wins on my owner card than everyone else.

and anyway, how does anything your wrote explain the fact that ATL is STILL in first when he has no business even making the playoffs with a bullpen that putrid?

Bundy just grow up and be quiet...you are always rude and a whiner...it happens that way in real life sometimes as well...sometimes teams win when they shouldn't and loose when they shouldn't. It's not anything other than the luck of the draw. Just grow up and be quiet.

Lawman gave a friendly and reasonable answer, and all you could do was insult his team and whine some more.

If I had a dog that whined as much as you do, I'd shoot it.

Just so everyone knows, I'd never shoot my dog; it was a figure of speech.

That "horrible " closer from my "putrid" bullpen just became the all-time single season saves leader for this league with #61. No , his grades aren't pretty but the job just gets done.

The fact that he was a WW pick up 2 seasons ago is what baffles me most. He has been spectacular for 3 years. He will drop off the table this off-season and be of no use next year , but he will earn his 2nd FOY and due to the lack of any top starters in the league (yes I include my own in that remark , I have some good ones but they haven't put up big win totals) , he is winning the CY this year also. I don't remember the last league I was in without at least one 20 game winner in each league , but the NL may not even have a 19 game winner this year. I have always been against RP being eligible for the CY as they have their own catagory , but it is what it is.
Enough of my bragging on this guy , but for as long as I have played this game , I don't remember such a successful WW pickup even if only for 3 years.
Good luck to all going forward!
BYW- I will be looking for bats in the off season , I will be offering up arms for bats.
