Back to where we were before the changes?

Is it just me or is the league playing just like it was before the last changes? Lots of bombs, lots of sacks and lots of run yards.

My team in Zeta seems to be moving in that direction. We threw deep 139 times, completing 83 passes (59.7%), so it's still possible to go deep. Still not to the level of where it had been though.

What I think might be happening is a ripple effect of the last change. When the passing game was realed in teams started running more (a lot more) and it took a while for defenses to adjust. Most Ds were set up to defend the pass aggresively which left them vulnerable to the run. Now that everyone is running 30 or more times a game (at 5 yrds a carry or so), defenses have to adjust and play the run more which leav3es them more vulnerable to the pass. This is how it's supposed to work, right?

Think you are right, Rich. Been noticing that also. I tried to open it up a little more and all I get is int's and incompleted passes. Even with a grade A QB.

Not sure about strategies anymore. Went completely the other way to start (run game). Now seems to be slipping back a little. Scoring seems to be creeping back up again also. Lot of big gainer plays more and more. Not exactly sure what the goal was now blakjak.

The best thing I have noticed and post if you see it too. There is no longer a few select players that are dominating the majority of players no matter what they do in the full participant pay leagues.

Also in beta many players including myself may not give 100% like in the pay leagues adjusting qtr after qtr day in day out. This could also effect results.

And as blakjakshalak said this is how it's supposed to work.

The one thing I have noticed more than not --- I seem to get beaten by KR's / Pr's / and some sim revenge (missed fg's and 50+ yds winning fg's by b power kickers) in games that I had shut down opponent more often than before the new coding along with too many penalties. So my 64000 dollar question does the sim weigh in on many of the results giving preference to a certain team on a given game?
Anyone else getting funny losses???

Beta is a totally different animal. Play 3 games a day. Can't really strategize against opponents. Set more basic strategies. But see trends hold truer to a certain extent.

Pay leagues, (if you have the time, lol) are totally opposite. I have never seen so many fumbles for turnovers inside your own 20 yard line. Missed field goals(10 to 15 yarders even), with good holds. I believe refs eat the home cooking.
Lost so many games lately by stupid stuff like that. People lose sim bowls like that also.

BTW Rich.... that picture of your wife is really hot. If you don't mind me saying, lol.

There was a bug that caused more fumbles inside the 20 but it was fixed a while back, I'll see if I can pull any stats to see if it is happening again.

Most of the times that I am asked to investigate missed field goals they are usually in bad weather with a poor Execution kicker, or a punter doing the field goal. If you see several misses where this is not the case, let me know and I'll investigate it.
