Thanks @gsdm, I completely understand fear of jinx. When you experience an incredible win streak, superstition and rituals become overwhelming. It takes on a life of it's own, with a feeling of breaking the rules and surreal. Especially, if your club has gone through losing in the same manner. I now understand, the Miami Heat a couple of seasons ago. They won I believe 27 in a row. It became a hindered and some players publicly were relieved when it ended. However, this amazing streak is of little significance. No post season berth, pennant or title has been clinched as a result. The law of average holds, my team will not keep up this pace. It is still early in the season with many games to be played. I consider this a head start. Teams such as, the Swingers, Studs and BullDogs are all dangerous threats to win a title in the AL. By the way, because I'm a stat freak. I know Cincy went on I believe 28 game win streak in 09'. I wonder if any one knows (@typanter2) record for all-time win streak NL/Al?Pages: 1
