Ive toyed around with the short zone in various circumstances with no success. It seems as though there is always a better option for each of the offensive strategies. Does anyone have success with this defense? If so what types of offenses does it work well against?

I've found shallow zone works very well in down & distance situations where the opposing team's pass plays are mostly under 6-7 yards and you have a front 7 that is stout against the run. It is also pretty solid when you are pushed back inside your own 10.
