Well, in my estimation, unless you have something your have your heart set on with that first pick, its not a bad idea. You have a very old team. The safety you're getting is decent, but won't be in you plans once you really get your team turned around. You need a lot of young bodies to get you team in the right direction. This trade would double the amount of picks available to you, granted they are spread out over 3 years, and they will be later picks.

It depends on how you want to build I think.
