Schedule ! MAFL

Not a big issue But, it would be nice if schedule was a tad more spread around. Certain divisions play each other repeatedly. Others we never play...

It's the same in the FHFL. The AC east has played the AC west 4X's in 8 seasons now and has never played the NC west.

It seriously affects the records in the leagues when teams have to play the stronger divisions every season while other divisions never play the stronger competition. Something needs to be done.

I agree that the schedule should rotate more/better than it currently does. but even then there's going to be times when a team gets stuck playing a tougher division a couple or three seasons in a row. teams are fluid, so the same division isn't necessarily always going to be the 'best' all the time.

In the MAFL NC West and the NC North have been very strong historically in the league with not many down seasons that I can think of. Every division has it's good owners but in the MAFL there are divisions that are consistently good (when is the last time you rebuilt dirt). If the teams have to play these divisions year in and year out it does tip the balance of the league. MAFL has good owners throughout but there are no doubt divisions that have been more consistently better than others throughout the years.

does the blowup when I took over count? :saint:

in general, I don't believe in football rebuilds.

like I said though, I think the schedule should rotate better than it does. all I'm saying is that it still won't be perfect. someone is going to get the NCW and the NCN back to back, for instance. but it absolutely should be improved.

I agree it won't be perfect but it can be better. The schedule needs more variety season to season. I also don't think rebuilds are necessary in football.

FHFL Breakdown from British Columbia (AFC West)

AFC East - 4
AFC North - 0
AFC South - 3

NFC West - 2
NFC East - 4
NFC North - 2
NFC South - 0

The 2 random games broke out by division. Numbers are times ive played each team in that division for those random games.

AFC East: 0-0-2-3 Total=5
AFC North: 0-2-3-3 Total=8
AFC South: 0-1-2-2 Total=5

After 8 season in the AFC there is still 1 team i have yet to play in the AFC. I have played the AFC North teams the most in the random game but i haven't faced that whole division in a season yet.

And we have yet to see the NFC South. We have seen the NFC East 4 times now.
