The amount of time I have for this has taken a significant hit the past year or so. The past few seasons now I haven't been able to give the game/team the time it takes to do it right. Going through the motions and not being "all in" just doesn't cut it for me.
I've asked bigtrain to put the team up for sale. I'll be around to take care of the team so there's no reason to do a fire sale. Hopefully you all can put the word out and bring in a new owner that will be a good fit for the league.
This has been the best league I've been a part of in the game. Managing the Zoo has been a real hoot! We had a great run.
Never say never though, maybe I'll pull a 'Dogs and buy another team here when the situation changes :)

And the end of today, we'll be halfway through simulated 1989, and the renewal score will be: nine owners already paid up for the next five-year session, six unknown, and one leaving. The actual deadline to renew will be sometime next month, but even if you plan to wait until then to pay, you can set your status on the Owner/Renewal page to "returning" if you're planning to do so. That way, we'll have some confidence about the league's future (and it will make expansion owners a little more likely to sign up).
And Gator - yep, you will always be welcome back in the DJL. Good luck to you.

Looks like we have a replacement for Gator, welcome to the DJL vickiroepke, who recently joined some of us in the LAL, you will find the DJL a very competitive league with alot of very accomplished owners. It is pretty cool that we are only losing Gator so far (hopefully slowjoe comes back too!!!), nice to keep the league mostly in tact, I look forward to competing with everyone for another term (once I get the LoneStars rebuilt!!!)...

Vickiroepke, you may want to double check with Dabigtrain, but today is the LCS, tomorrow is the World Series, then the offseason runs Saturday at 5:42am. I believe you take over then once the offseason runs, with the draft at 11:42am Saturday, and the 1990 season begins on Sunday....

Nah I think you just take over San Diego, pick up Gator's team, you will draft in his spot (#2 overall) in the amateur draft. Good luck!!!!
