Johnny Mack allowed 1 hit in 7 innings (a solo HR by Howard Thome), yet lost the game, 1-0, as the Ramblers could only muster 3 singles against St. Louis pitchers Jesse Fester and Lou Motte. The Ramblers are now sitting tied with Pittsburgh for 2nd place and a playoff spot in the National League.
