Initial Draft

What do you think about a day or two after the initial draft before the pre-season for making and taking trade offers on our position in each draft slot?

Let me clear up that I mean to have the change to trade our draft spot's pre draft.
Say I won picks, DT round one (first), DT round two (third) and DT round three (one). I may be interested in trading the lower round picks for a higher pick in a round I did not do well. Or trade the number one in round one for a lower round one and change my round three to a higher pick. All of this is dependant on finding anothr willing party to trade with.

I don't think there's a mechanism to trade those initial draft spots, most likely because the system is designed through bidding to create some sort of competitive equity from the outset (assuming active owners).
If people start trading those, you have the likelihood of some fleecing that creates dramatic competitive imbalance from the get-go.
Better to at least hold the draft, and then teams with depth at certain spots can go seek trade partners, etc.

The initial draft is complicated enough already, I think...
If I do make changes to the initial draft, it might be to maybe run the rounds a few minutes apart, to give you a chance to adjust your later rounds once you see what you get in the earlier rounds.

That would be great.
An alternative option -probably even more complicated, but I had to suggest it anyway, sorry- could be to have different draft boards for different rounds, or a check box to call in which round we'd like to draft a player.
ex 1: 3 different draft boards for Guards. The same players on all of them, just that we could sort them differently.
Probably a check box to "activate" the draft board, so if the latter rounds are not activated, they'd all use the first one.
ex 2: just one draft board for Guards, but next to each player's name, 3 check boxes, one for each round. This way I can sort the top pass blocking guards and just check them for the first (and third) round, and the best run blockers check them for the second (and third) round.
