on the wrong side of this game:

Now, that's an October match-up that would have had the fans on the edge of their seats throughout.
It was also the first ever playoff appearance for the Brooklyn team which until the least three seasons had only had one plus .500 season(83-79) in its 55 year history, surely one of the most consistently awful teams in Sim anywhere. (I was only responsible for about 10 of the losing ones while I was waiting for young guys to develop.)

I'm not aware of any pinch running decisions based on the base runner being a pitcher, can you explain ?

Just saw the other thread, that is unfortunate though in this case it does sort of make sense in that the game was tied at 0-0 at the time so having someone run for a C- speed base runner is logical .

yeah, but if you're looking for offense in that situation, you should hit for the pitcher, not wait for him to reach base and then run for him. Doesn't make sense that you'd let him bat, but then replace him because he reached base. Pinch-running prefs are evidently more powerful than pinch-hitting prefs.
And the setting doesn't say "If my pitcher has a no-hitter going, never replace him (unless he reaches base, then forget the chance at history)", ha.
