Hands and fumbles

Since we are talking about sklills, what about the correlation between hands and fumbles lost? We have fumbles stats only for runners, so I'll kep it at that. It seems to me that the hands skill isn't necessarily related to lost fumble totals. At least not as much as I thought.
Check out this list (BETA season 2001)
Bloomers (QB-RB) - Hands: 75 - fumbles (lost): 7(5)
Kirkgard (RB) - H: 52 - F: 10(4)
Homan (RB) - H: 51 - F: 0(0)
Guffey (RB) - H: 63 - F: 1(1)
Kopp (RB) - H: 88 - F: 11(3)
Edwards (RB) - H: 73 - F: 7(0)
These are all feature backs, with very similar carries totals. It's just a peek and it all could be coincidental, but i think the correlation looks pretty random.

It's something I haven't looked at in a while. I'm tempted to just call "small sample size" but I will check it anyway.
