1st and goal for the Tuxedos, they huddle and line up in a Pro Set; the Lancers line up in a 4-3.
Henry Hart takes the snap, hands off to Pete Slyker.
Hart fumbles the ball at the JAX 9.
Should read something like Henry Hart takes the snap and
attempts a handoff to Pete Slyker because if he actually does hand off to Slyker then Hart can't fumble.

The problem is that if you change the wording, then the moment you see it on the play by play you know the next line will be a fumble. Imagine a play-by-play announcer calling it; he sees the hand off attempt and says "Hands of to..." before he sees the fumble.
