The legend of Arky Nicol keeps growing...The league HR record was 530 and once upon a time I wasn't sure he'd get there, and now, after a ridiculously overperforming OS 38 season and a few more dingers off the bench at 39, he's reached 600.
Anyone know the HR record for dynasty leagues?

Thats amazing. Just think what he would have done had you moved him to 1b. He would have played 10-15 more games a season.

Pudge Rodriguez holds the MLB record for games caught at 2427, he debuted at 19 and caught 140+ games in a season exactly three times.
In addition no major league catcher, with more than 1,000 games played, since the 1800s has ever caught more than 81% of his team's games whereas Nicol has caught 90% of his teams games for over 18 years.

It's a wonderful stat, and he's a great player, but it's purely a sim stat. yeah of course, but catchers are still at a disadvantage in Sim compared to the rest of the players. Even though it might not be possible to play catcher so many times in some other game (MLB), in the game Nicol plays he can't play 160 games like everyone else with A+ health, so for him to get to 600 HR as a catcher is noteworthy compared to any other position.[Edited on 2-20-2012 by paulcaraccio]
