The Dream is Alive

January 11, 2012 at 04:21AM View BBCode

After winning the Super Bowl last year the BTR were more than a little distracted as the 1972 season began. Players seemed more concerned with contracts and endorsements than practice and actual football and as a result New Orleans stumbled out of the gate 1-5 and the post season looked like a pipe dream.

The boys have righted the ship however and run off seven wins in a row to put themselves right back in the thick of the playoff picture. With three weeks remaining the BTR have their fate in their own hands, win out and they will be NFC West Champions, and once those playoffs start anything can happen.

The next two weeks are crucial as New Orleans host first Toledo and then Montreal and if the boys from the Bayou can win those two then week 17 won't matter as the post season will already be locked up. The odds are long but not as long as they were after week six .

You have done a marvelous job of righting the ship, Rooster. Good luck to you.

Sadly I lost my starting QB in the first quarter against Toledo so I think we're done.

A lot of Keith Gary types on the Toledo squad.:D
[He's the Pitts DL that grabbed Cin QB, K Andersons facemask and tried to twist his head off and only got a 15 yd penalty, way back when].
