Anyone starting a league up?
December 13, 2011 at 09:57PM View BBCode
Hey all!
I've been away from SD for a couple years but now have the itch to get back involved. Best times I've ever had with the game involved the initial draft and building a team from scratch.
Anyone thinking of starting a new league?
I have my email preferences set up so I'll receive notifications about new leagues, but I'm getting antsy already. Not a ton of preferences about league style or setup....I'm an active owner regardless.

Go to replacement leagues, there are quite a few you can choose from right now

Sorry if I was unclear. I mean brand new leagues. I'd like to participate in the initial draft and build a team from the ground up.

Hi Yar,
Welcome back! We don't start new leagues very often, due to the high number of leagues looking for replacement owners. Best bet is to find a good deal on the replacement page.

Join the DVL we got 2 teams open in different stages of development. if you are looking from a more ground up approach join Houston, if you want a team that is more mature take a look at TEX. any questions ask me or our commish, StriplingRZ

If there is an expansion draft, won't the available player pool simply be both of those teams together? If so, it wouldn't really matter which one I picked, as I wouldn't really be able to keep any my players, right?

For a different approach take a look at the Orlando Cepeda League...
The Orlando Cepeda League consists of 64 teams divided into 4 divisions (Majors, AAA, AA, & A). At the end of each season the four playoff teams from the National and American Leagues in each division move up toward the Majors and the bottom four teams move down toward the Single-A Division. Your goal is to guide your team into the Majors and win the World Series.
The [url=http://www.simdynasty.com/depth.jsp?teamid=13291]Peppers[/url] in the AA Division are looking for a new owner and can be purchased off the [url=http://www.simdynasty.com/privateavailable.jsp]Available Teams[/url] page.

If it is a replacement team, you take the team over as is. If it is expansion, you participate in a draft.

We have an opening in the Conigliaro League and several in the Clemens League.
Both are advanced leagues with different but intriguing rules.
Let me know if you are curious about either.

Nabbed one of the spots in the DVL. It's entirely confusing enough to muddle through SD strategy again without making this tired old brain figure out new rules. :D
Thanks so much for the help and the offers. May all your leagues fill soon!
