A trade has been completed between the Minnesota Ka-Zars and the New York Gothams. The New York Gothams receive Cal Higgins from the Minnesota Ka-Zars in exchange for Walter Burrows
This deal also include 5 CPS staying on Ray McGlothin this season.
WHY I DID THIS DEAL (This is an ongoing thread in another league I am in and I have previoulsy suggested it here.)
I get to develop McGlothin at 5 CPs for one more season (as I continue my rebuild of a pitching staff) and acquire a useful bat in Higgins. I give up a good power speed prospect in Burrows, who has a bad glove and is clocked by two other young players at the corners already on the Gothams. Offensively Burrows might become a star, but it helps me developmentally.

Obviously, a lot of these players never appear on the team without others on this list traded, either as picks or extant players. It's easy to say, as Gator says, that I'd have a monster team by now. Which is crap, since half of this list are journeymen at best.
The only HoF, so far, is Ricky Day. Probably will be more.
The only All-Stars have been reserves, so far, good but not great. At least three by my count have made it as All-Stars.
Obvious studs: Joe Adams, Kimber, Billingsley, maybe Wright who isn't developed yet.
I will take full responsibility for Bruce McHenry, who I traded away, then traded back for, put him at Closer, and made him All-Star level. One of my most deft moves. Maybe the only one, frankly.
But, going back through the trades, I'd never make most of them now. A couple were flat out retarded, but at the time seemed viable. Like anything, I've learned SimD better as I've played. Combined with impatience, it reads like a How-To-Don't manual. A cautionary tale, I suppose.
So, mock all the trades you wish, but I'll own up to it: I'm not a good SimD owner, at least in this League. Sirguru is in a couple of other Leagues I'm in, and I had a pretty hard time in the Rickey Henderson League, but turned that around. I don't think I've been as bad in other Leagues as here.
