It looks like we have finally arived. League-wide QB rating of 92.8 with a completion % of 67.2. Are those numbers a little higher than our typical target just because of luck or is something a tad off somewhere?

Seems too high to me. Not that anything drastic needs to be done, just a little tinkering, however that gets done programming-wise.

Actually, both completion % and passer rating have climbed in each season of GFL thus far.

1960..........57.8..........71.2
1961..........59.6..........75.8
1962..........62.5..........78.1
1963..........64.7..........86.1
1964..........67.2..........92.8

Is this just a by-product of player development and the large class of excellent WR's we had a few seasons ago? Is it a consequence of better strategizing on the part of owners?

Any ideas?

I would actually expect passing percentages to start falling based on the most recent changes, but I don't think they've been in play long enough to have an effect yet.

But I think the fact that people tend to draft young in 1960 would cause a a low start and a rise like this, and that a mature league should settle in near the target.

Can you remind me what the target is, so that we can watch this trend for you and report again next season (or the season after that?).

If I recall correctly the league-wide target is 60%.

I should probably put together a "league diagnostic" page that has all of the targets and stats from the season and overall on it.
