Week 1
The Hamiltonians averaged 12.4 yards per pass attempt and posted 348 yards and 3 TD's through the air (4 TD's if you count the pick-6 that Freeman threw). We still managed to run more than we passed (32-28).
Arizona put up the most points (44) and largest margin of victory (30). They still have
IT. Whatever it is.
SF and MIA both lost, but at least they field competitive rosters. I think both franchises have bright futures with the new ownership in place.
ATL and COL took wins against WAS and WIN in the league's most competitive division.
3 NCW teams won while 3 ACE teams lost. The only ACE win was a divisional game.
HOU and LV took their usual place atop thier division with victories.
I think this will be a competitive and entertaining season. Good luck to everyone.

Washington shot themselves in the foot with 10 penalties for 76 yards, can't see any strategy to stop that.

I hate losing but considering the past records for this Miami franchise, I'm happy to see that we're giving ourselves a chance to be competitive into the fourth quarter. Just got to work on not giving up 200+ rushing yards to one rb...

Well since the biggest penalty was committed by a guy who committed exactly one penalty in 16 starts last year and the other big one was by a guy with five penalties in his previous 31 starts I don't think I could have anticipated this debacle.

Arizona managed to take that one from us in Week 2, though only by 3..
We've played Arizona 6 times now (once in the playoffs), and we've lost (in order) by:
31 ('60)
21 ('61)
39 ('62)
10 ('63)
5 ('63 CC Game)
3 ('64)
We haven't won yet...but we're gunning for you guys..that's for sure.
tworoosters...we know the feeling on penalties..after 2 games, we have a league-high 12 penalties for 89 yards. (Washington has 12 for 86)...We only had 8 penalties in 4 preseason games though..ah well.
Our offense just can't overcome that many penalties and a league-high 7 sacks..you know your pass game is struggling when you're getting 1st downs on 33% of pass plays versus 31% on rush plays..(league lead in 1st downs, but can't score).

Yeah, K, Spiders got lucky.
Legends crushed the Ariz running attck and the starting HBs knee [27 days].
Legends won the yds game by 72; they had the only turnovers, an int and a fumble that kept us out of the end zone; Time o P was even.
A missed FG by Atl in the 4th kept us from OT.
9 penalties for 70 yds had to be the difference.

In last season's AFC championship, we managed all of 6 points against Houston. Today we scored TDs on our first 4 possessions. Go figure.
Note that we might well still lose the game, as our three games last year were two OT battles and a 7-6 title game. Not much space between these teams.

Turnovers are absolutely killing my team. We had a pick-6 in week 1, but managed a win anyway with an INT of our own late in the second half. Week 2 we threw 2 INT's in the 2nd half to blow a 14 point lead against Carolina. In week 3 we had 3 turnovers in the 1st quarter and trailed 17-0 before we had even run 10 offensive plays (we eventually lost 38-22).
I've made a change at QB. Last season I started Hicks and used Freeman in the shotgun formation because of his high throw power. I have officially benched Freeman as he has as many picks as TD's through the first 2 1/4 games.
I still don't know how to get my QB to hand off effectively. Hicks fumbled a hand off in week 3 in spite of having 84 execution and 89 hands. He has already lost 2 fumbles this season and apparently that is going to be my team's monicker since we led the league in fumbles last year too.
Oh well.

I feel a little guilty (but not that much) about how we just beat Cleveland. We were down to 4th and 10 at their 25 yard line with 0:56 left in the game. My qb went for it all and ended up with a td to tie the game.
More than happy to settle for going to overtime, we kicked it off and two plays later we intercept the Cleveland qb and run it back for a td to win the game. Funny how quickly fortunes can change.

And of course I generate 2 turnovers in Q1 of game 4 and have a 10-7 lead over Las Vegas going into the 2nd quarter. lol

My QB keeps putting it on the ground too, thought we´d gotten past that last year... Seems like there have been more OT´s so far.

That was a fast 10 points we handed you ... but the TO have evened out with Hicks coughing it up a couple times, and we converted both into TDs.
Exciting game! LV up 21-13 at the half.

What the hell is wrong with Hicks? Should a QB with high 80's execution/hands be fumbling this much? Argh!!!!!!
