Ok, so I guess its my turn for the injury bug.September 08, 2011 at 12:13AM View BBCode
Yes, I don't know what you did, but ABE's Twister arrow definitely fell on CHI this time.September 08, 2011 at 02:21AM View BBCode
You know, with that pitching and Omura, that's all you need. Omura goes crazy in the playoffs. The numbers don't lie. (Okay, he tanked last year, but the motivation is in. He's going to blow up.)September 08, 2011 at 06:21AM View BBCode
That's exactly what I did with my NYN team... it's bad enough I fell off from a 120 win pace to going 9-21 in the last 30 games of the season... finishing with 99 wins. 3 pitchers who were absolutely dominant in the first half (one was on pace for 28 wins with a 1.77 ERA and .61 WHIP through 90 games!) wound up pitching like they suddenly were rookies again getting overwhelmed.September 08, 2011 at 05:50PM View BBCode
ABE took Mercedes, Baker, and Ashby from me over the past Sim week...he figured he should even things out for our series. :)September 08, 2011 at 10:10PM View BBCode
I think, if you're a contender with a massive lead on the 2nd place team, you pull the starters at least the final week, or two series, before the Playoffs.September 08, 2011 at 10:32PM View BBCode
Yeah, I totally get that strategy. The biggest problem I have with that method is when I forget to put the starters back in or my internet connection decides to $hit the bed right before the playoffs. I've been burnt by that before, where I ended up with my 5th starter going twice in a playoff series and it cost me a trip to the World Series.September 09, 2011 at 08:38AM View BBCode
I couldn't pull my regulars until the last 3 games. I finished with 99 wins... 3rd place wound up with 98 wins... and swept me on the final sim day. Granted, I threw benchers and WW bums at him, but he may have won that series anyway.September 09, 2011 at 08:41AM View formatted
