Well, the best records make the WS. I guess as it should be. Plenty of firepower and pitching finesse. Should be a blast.
It's hard to root against either team. Both owners are long-standing, both have built terrific teams over time. I'm calling a 7 game series, with NY coming out, and only because CHI's lost some batting depth.
Or my boy Omura goes ape wild like he did in the LCS, but that's going to be hard to do against NY's pitching.
All in all, one of the best match-ups in recent memory.

Also, credit to WASH and CHI.
The Scotties have been coming on for the last couple years. Don't expect that to change soon.
WASH has a scary young team with all kinds of talent, so they won't be going anywhere either.
I expect both to be right back where they were next season, seriously contending.

The Scotties almost came back from down 3-0, that would have been amazing...but in Sim where momentum is not a thing, it wasn't surprising to see NY prevail.
Thanks for calling my team scary...from my perspective the scariest part of the 1989 Beltways was watching the bullpen try to protect leads.

Robot, thanks for the props. I appreciate it.
bdavids, that was one hell of a series. Heartattacks all along the way. Congrats on the season.
And I just looked again at the Americans, and we are close to carbon copies of each other, talent wise, so a 7 game series is not out of the question. Good luck!

Hats off to you, Pierzynski! A deserving Champion for sure. Even with the injuries the Americans were no match this series. You have a fine squad, sir.
Kind of a down feeling lingers in the Americans camp. 6 straight playoff appearances....3 straight world series appearances...we've managed to win 4 WS games in total. No bueno. We've been beaten by worthy (and superior btw) teams for sure but in the crapshoot that are the playoffs we had higher hopes. The window is still open for a few more seasons so we'll lick our wounds and be ready next year!

Bayside, you have put together one heck of a run yourself.
Thanks!
