Draft
September 07, 2011 at 10:48AM View BBCode
I'm cringing as I look over my Miami squad's draft. I'm at a loss as to how I drafted the players I did. The DE in the first rd was ok but I had him ranked 4th while I had Dick Allen ranked first. Then I had the settings to draft 0 k and p, yet I ended up with like four of them. Sorry guys, my intention was to help strengthen the competition and I know this didn't help it. Once someone explains what I screwed up on I'll make sure it's fixed going forward.

I'm confused.
I see that MIA drafted a G, C, LB, CD, DT, DT, and T.

At the top of the draft page, do you feel you had the round check boxes correct and the position quantity boxes correct?

Before, when Mia was ran by a BOT, they would draft a lot of kickers. Are you looking at the correct year?

Nevermind. This is an example of the dangers of posting a message before the morning caffeine has kicked in. I have Carolina in my two single season leagues and was focused on the Carolina picks instead of Miami in this draft. Feeling much better now, sorry for the confusion.

Not gonna lie though...that DE was #1 on my list..
Atlanta had its worst draft yet--by far!
2 1st rounders, a 21-yr old DE (1 of 3 21-yr olds in the draft and the only one drafted before 78th) and a 24-yr old CB...misfired on that CB for sure though.
Didn't draft a single offensive player..

I think Nattiel might turn out to be a nice later-round pickup. You might have gotten some bad luck on Pot ... that nebulous "M" can unfortunately sometimes be a C-

Ariz got Francis pick 16 [thx guys?] With a quick release and good dex skills
he should be hard to sack and with some ACC improves he could be a good one.
I liked Ballman at WR. A+ in jump and agl, A- in catch and Btakl, he should come down witha lot of passes and be hard to tackle afterward. I was non- plussed by B spd and C- hands. I didn't get him, he went at 25 to LV.
I agree it was a shallow draft [about 25 guys] that might help a team and yes, the draft seemed really old.
The rest of my draft is already on waivers.

All my draft picks are on my roster thought not all of them deserved to be. I shave a few grand by keeping younger players on my inactive roster and dumping some veterans.
The only guys to make my active roster were my top two picks -- [url=http://footballbeta.simdynasty.com/player.jsp?id=141861]Johnny Smail[/url] and [url=http://footballbeta.simdynasty.com/player.jsp?id=142753]Hughie Carpenter[/url]. Smail is a high-upside CB who will work his way into the nickelback position before too long and Carpenter is my starting running back and had a pretty good first game. Not my best draft, but I was down a second rounder...so it wasn't horrible either.
