Did Michigan mean to do this ?

Leading 35-28 with 1:55 on the clock and facing 4th and 13 from their own 37 in this game Michigan go for it and give New Orleans the ball on the Michigan 44 with 71 seconds on the clock.
I can't see any reason a team would do that but maybe the preferences are set up that way.
The Big Easy proceed to burn the Wolverines with a last play TD and then an overtime victory.

Michigan isn't do anything intentionally right now. Let me check my settings ... I haven't tweaked them in a decade.

If tied and within 60 yards of the goal line and there are less than 60 seconds remaining in the game, go for it
NOPE
If losing and there are less than 150 seconds remaining in the game, go for it
NOPE
Never punt within 35 yards of the goal line.
NOPE
The strategy tester doesn't help either, because it tells me what plays I would call on 4th and long ... not surprisingly this is usually a pass, and of course here we ran.
Feels like a big glitch to me.

Similar situation with the HAM/COL game as well. COL went for it on 4th and short from their own 43 with just over 2 minutes to play in a tie game. It worked out well for them, but I was shocked to see them try to go for it there.

I saw that too the other day in another game and pointed it out. (it might have been vs. Hammy???)

I don't want to talk about that game. I had 4th and goal from your 12 and I ran it up the middle when you were "keyed" to stop the run. That was ridiculous.
