Really it was 99 yards, because we started at the 1 and got a false start penalty to bring us halfway back. Then on 3rd-and-G at the 3 we completed a 3-yard pass that didn't break the plane.

Maybe 99 1/2 yards, the more I think about it.

If you hover over the down/to go on the play-by-play it'll show you to a tenth of a yard where you were.

We were 0.1 yards from scoring. I didn't know that feature existed, thanks.

Ouch. That sucks.

I've just extended this functionality to the yard line and discovered a bug: That ball was downed right on the goal line, it should have been a touchback.

That means you actually had a 99.9 yard drive without a touchdown. That is a permanent record, because once I fix this bug it can never be equalled again.

Odd... the play-by-play database says it was at the 0.6, so I've got some math crossed somewhere.

OK, so the play started on the 0.6 and was pushed back to the 0.3, then went to the opposite 0.1.

So now you can hover over the yard line and it will (properly) tell you where you were. :)

What I think we need is a setting that allows owners to decide if they'd like to go for it on 4th and short yardage in certain situations.

You wouldn't do it if a FG gave you a tie or a lead, most likely, but a dropdown like this would be valuable:

On 4th down and less than (1/2/3) yards and the ball inside the opponent's (1/2/5/10/20/30), go for it instead of kicking a FG unless a FG would (tie the game/ tie the game or put me ahead/go for it anyway).

The current 4th down settings don't account for this type of situation. You have to be trailing for it to kick in.
