Las Vegas and Washington are the newcomers to the playoffs this year, displacing NY and Chi. Same teams sitting with home field and a week off: Houston and Arizona.
Here's hoping the injuries don't decide too much, and let's have some fun.

Washington limited Winnipeg to just over 200 yards in offense and effectively eliminating the running game, enroute to a [url=http://footballbeta.simdynasty.com/boxscore.jsp?boxscoreid=4274]27-3 victory[/url]. Fortunately for the Wagers, we came prepared to play some smashmouth football in the powder and the slush. We churned out 216 yards on the ground and played some stalwart defense against the Hammies, holding them to 208 total yards. Our QB called a lot of audibles and passed more than we expected to, but he didn't make critical mistakes and we avoided turnovers. Hammie meanwhile tossed a couple picks that led to easy scores.
So LV advances to face nemesis Houston. At least the weather will be better. We have never beaten the Henchmen in four tries, so there might not be too much cash being dropped on the hometown Wagers at the sportsbooks.
But the injury front gives us one surprising advantage, as Houston has lost its well-named QB Hurt and top WR Fryer, not to mention a lineman and a couple LB. If backup Mike Goff can get the ball in the hands of his speedy wideouts, Hou will be OK.
LV has two injuries, but both are significant. We lost FS Robin Walker, which leaves us more vulnerable in the worst area against Hou's agile, quick receiving corps. And our punter went down, leaving us with a PK trying to help us win field position battles, and that might be critical at some point.
The morning line has Houston a 4-point favorite.

ps..sorry about the damaged recievers. It was a rough game. We had to call the fire department to use the "Jaws of Life" to get several players out of their helmuts:P

Washington stuffed my running game. By the time I got to check in it was over. Looks like Washington schemed heavy run D. I wish I would have dialed up a little more play action. It wouldn't have mattered, Washington was on today. I got my a$$ kicked. GL Rooster...represent!!ps..sorry about the damaged recievers. It was a rough game. Three quarters down in the championship games ...Arizona is well on its way to a return to the SB, pulling ahead by 3 TDs.

It sets up a rematch the Arachnids have been drooling over after playing perhaps their worst game of the year against us in Week 12 as LV somehow rode the play of two backup QBs to a stunning 42-14 win. We controlled the clock 2-1, capitalized on some turnovers and held the Spider offense in check somehow all day.
This battle of desert teams won't have weather as a factor, and injuries right now are a wash. Don't look for a repeat of Week 12, though.
Morning line is Arizona by 7 with an over/under of 49.

Wow, somehow LV managed to hold off the Henchmen. Houston cut it to 2 and recovered an onside kick with about 3 minutes left and marched to our side of the field. We won 10 games in the regular season and a playoff game and we made the improvements on defense that we were hoping for, shaving 35 points off our points allowed and increasing our sack total. On the other hand our offensive production was down by 33 points.
Our passing game improved in yards per game and completion percentage but our TDs were down while sacks and ints were up and our rushing game regressed by 20 yards per game.
We will be looking to add an impact WR and some O-Line depth over the off season, either through the draft or via the trade route.

I thought we wouldn't play SB until the morning. Good thing I made roster moves right after the last game just in case. Didn't quite get the strategy I wanted, so we'll make a couple second-half adjustments and see if it helps.First half had lots of big plays with Arizona coming out ahead 17-10. The over is looking good. Hopefully we can make the point spread wrong ...

This is the 2nd year Willie has won the Cy Young. Lance is not sure what the secret is. The WRs only have adequate hands. Maybe the O-line, except LV had him under pressure most of the game.
