That's in number of injuries. In the NFL is there was an average of 22 days lost per injury. Our average injury length right now in Gamma is 41.7, in my dev league it's 31 days. What I dont know is if my source for the 22 days figure only includes loss-time injuries or also includes minor injuries. If it's only loss-time I need to reduce injury lengths. Of course two leagues is a small sample size, I need to check out some other leagues too.

Does this include players who get hurt in a game and return? Or is this only for players who miss at least one game? Or anyone who makes it onto an injury report each week?
Further, how much is is skewed by the way teams don't cut their rosters until the last minute in preseason and therefore play more guys, who have more chances to be hurt? Many of us cut our rosters down before preseason even starts (though, with injuries kicked up, we might be more cautious on letting stars play as much in future preseasons).
Also, NFL is more likely to have guys out for the season or never even play a down because of injury suffered in spring, or continuing rehab.
So I wonder what exactly that 22-day figure includes.

I am always suspicious of numbers like average NFL injury length.Does this include players who get hurt in a game and return? Or is this only for players who miss at least one game? Or anyone who makes it onto an injury report each week?

I mentioned this the other day, NFL Free Agent signings can play in the post season now matter when they sign with a team. Traded players cant but FA´s can. I think they should be eligible here too.
