Football changes for 4/6/2011
April 06, 2011 at 10:06AM View BBCode
The following chhanges have been implemented to football:
- The difference between the highest accuracy QB's and the lowest accuracy QB's has been reduced. The upshot of this is that QB's should have better completion percentages more in line with reality.
- It is now more likely for an interception or punt return to be returned for a touchdown, dependent on speed and (for punt returns) kick return ability
- High-Execution QB's will occasionally outperform their natural Accuracy rating
- A bug related to rushing TD's and first downs being counted on two point conversions has been fixed
- Teams who are leading at the end of the half are more likely to run the ball now rather than pass. However, they will still call timeouts if inside the yard line specified under "when winning" (see next item).
- Two new options have been added to the time out strategies to limit time outs: on offense, you can now specify the yard line at which to call timeouts separately for being ahead or behind, and on defense you can stop calling timeouts when the offense is within a certain yard line
- A bug that would occasionally result in a punt after spiking the ball to stop the clock has been fixed
- QB fatigue has been further reduced
- The display of sample 2-point conversion attempts on the kicking strategy page has been extended all the way to the beginning of the game
- Errors in punt statistics have been corrected
- Non-postseason games in prior seasons will have reduced detail available in the play-by-play.
- Single-season leagues can now only continue to the next season of at least 4 teams stay. You will get a notification at the top of the screen after week 10 if you have not selected whether or not to stay, and after week 14 if there are not enough teams staying to continue you will get an alert at the top of the screen.
NOTE: Completed leagues that had only 1 or 2 teams restarting in them have been removed based on the new rules; leagues with 3 teams renewing have been grandfathered in. Hopefully this will result in lower wait times for league restarts. If you had a team in one of these leagues, you can re-join one of the remaining leagues; I apologize for the inconvenience.
