Another Beta season has come and gone (nearly). What's the status of our Alpha re-start?

I think too much time has gone by for Alpha; too much has changed. When I am ready to start another multi-season league (today or tomorrow hopefully) we're going to start a new one from scratch. I will keep you posted.In the meantime, I'll get the restart going for Beta.

Sounds good..and the experiment I ran with all-high-draft-picks failed miserably...(9-7), but it was the only season I haven't made the playoffs.Glad to see there is no real way to exploit that.

We need something new to test in Beta ... I guess we can watch the adjustments to stamina and the running game.

In the recently completed season the average beta team scored 28.3 offensive touchdowns on an average of 345 yards of offense, in the NFL the average team scored 36 offensive touchdowns on an average of 336 yards of offense .
That's a huge statistical gap in scoring given how close our yardage numbers, plus there were no TDs in beta on punt or kickoff returns as opposed to 13 in the NFL .

I need to look at kick returns, I know we tightened those down a while back.

Touchdowns should have been higher in the second half of the season. 119 of the 180 rushing TD's were in week 9 or later, and 166 of 273 passing TD's were in week 9 or later. Extrapolating that to a full season would give teams an average of 33.6 touchdowns which is a lot closer; that closes about 2/3rd of the gap.I need to look at kick returns, I know we tightened those down a while back.

I had meant to bring up kick returns again..that's definitely something that needs to happen (I would think once a week at least--per league, not per game).
