Mediocre year one then gets playing time in year two and posts a big OPS and 27 bombs in less then 400 at bats which parlays into 4 years $24 million from Pittsburgh.

Detroit bite the bullet and reacquire him only to watch him do nothing for three years, all of a sudden it's his walk year and boom he's a hitter again .

I think Tyson just wants a beta salary league as a testing ground for future stuff, easier to leave it run than shut it down and set up a new one later.

Same. It's pretty fun.

Was Tyson testing anything to begin with here? Doesn't he do most of that in the main beta league?

the regular beta league is a wretched, untamed and unkempt forest where only a brave few dare tread or even assign coaching points. its dangerous there and you should not talk about it on a forum that goes with a halfway decent league like this one.

(well, not quite half decent. they did let kyle in here.)
