Can you throw to the TE?

is there a specific way/setting to throw to the tight end more? if so, can you focus on one receiver more than the other as well?
thanks,

I drafted for a passing team. We play out of Shotgun frequently. TE gets fair share of pass attempts.

That's cool. I went for a rushing emphasis with a strong TE to be a main outlet in the short yardage ball control offense.
Needless to say, my wideouts are getting much more work that I had planned, to the tune of an average of about 6 catches in 30 attempts between the two bums.
My TE is collecting a nice paycheck to be an in-line blocker and not catch many passes.
Anyway, ...cool...

I have a passing team as well, and here is the breakdown after 9 games:
WR1 (A-): 39% catch rate; 816 yds (90.7/game); 4 TD
WR2 (B+): 51.1% catch rate; 1537 yds (170.8/game); 7 TD
WR3 (B): 42.9% catch rate; 321 yds (35.7/game); 4 TD
TE1 (A-): 52% catch rate; 399 yds (44.3/game); 2 TD
TE2 (B): 33% catch rate; 18 yds (2.0/game); 0 TD
RB1 (B+): 55.2% catch rate; 194 yds (21.6/game); 0 TD
In a slightly different passing offense of mine (still 9 games):
WR1 (B+): 39% catch rate; 1370 yds (152.2/game); 7 TD
WR2 (B): 62.7% catch rate; 1201 yds (133.4/game); 7 TD
WR3 (B): 52.4% catch rate; 164 yds (18.2/game); 1 TD
TE1 (B+): 53.5% catch rate; 337 yds (37.4/game); 3 TD
TE2 (B+): 50% catch rate; 14 yds (1.6/game); 0 TD
RB1 (B+): 55.9% catch rate; 283 yds (31.4/game); 4 TD
These two teams have the same record (7-2), and both have scored at least 55 points once. If you want, you can U2U me for the basic tactics in what I run offensively to get the ball to the TE for two teams. Also would be willing to work with someone to experiment best ways to profile a TE in an offense.
But basically, for as good of a TE as he is, you'd think he would do better, but he can still get a decent number of looks (I played TE in football myself, so I'm partial to them too.)
