What is with these X catches the ball. The catch was OOB at the point of the catch. Always in a crucial 3rd down play.

bad luck on the "always a crucial third down play."
I don't really get the point of it, I guess it's to add suspense?

Sideline passes have a chance to be caught out of bounds.
Admin has already said that it was designed to create suspense that way.
It always seems crucial because there are a lot of sideline passes thrown when a team is in hurry-up mode late in games.

In the code update tonight I have reduced the incidence of the OOB catches about 20%.
