I'd rather not have a bye week.

I completely disagree with you. The injuries for the football sim are pretty steep and I appreciate having a day off for my guys to get healthy. (The bye week in between the conference championships and Sim Bowl doesn't make much sense though ... couldn't you sim an extra 7 days for injury healing purposes over night, but still run the Sim Bowl the day after the Conference Championship?)

Private leagues will have that option to turn off the bye day before the Sim Bowl, having it run the extra healing days overnight. It is enabled by default to allow people time to scope out their competition and tailor their strategies.
In my original design there was going to be an off day between EVERY game for this purpose; the game still supports this option for private leagues.
