in just the first half!February 19, 2011 at 05:17PM View BBCode
He is... I wonder if his numbers are pushing my formulae out of shape. I'm considering allowing for defenses to be "adaptable" in that if the QB passes more than usual, the interception chances start to ramp up.February 19, 2011 at 05:52PM View BBCode
Yeah, compared to most I have seen in this game, he is fantastic. However, his rating of 99.4 is not unrealistic for an NFL quarterback (at least in this era).February 19, 2011 at 06:02PM View BBCode

Kwami's backup proceeds to throw for 350 yards in the 2nd half for a total of 800 yards passing on the day for Arizona lolFebruary 19, 2011 at 10:24PM View BBCode

Seems like it would force everyone into having too similar of offenses if you had to worry about throwing picks left and right after a certain amount of pass attempts.

It was my team he played against the first game. I can say I upped my pass defense before the game played, but probably kept it somewhere around 65/35 - pass/run. His backup killed me in the second half though, after my starting corners had been pulled and injured. I think a lot of this is because the second string quartbacks seem to be a lot better than the second string secondary.February 20, 2011 at 12:57AM View BBCode

that kind of 'gaming the system' ruins the game. no one should be allowed to run the same play every time.February 24, 2011 at 08:38AM View BBCode

Here is a game that a QB threw for 515 yds in 1st half exclusively from the Shotgun formation.

so the thing is, your team is working like the 2007 NE patriots on steroids (or more steroids. who knows). while it makes sense that you should be getting great results from that, the results you are getting are a bit extreme. Brady to Moss continuously would never have worked, there were still a lot of runs, screens, and short routs that made the deep routs more effective.February 25, 2011 at 03:01PM View BBCode
This is supposed to be 1960's football I thought...February 27, 2011 at 01:18AM View BBCode
Changes to the passing engine are going in tonight. It will be easier to complette passes in general; on the other hand, repeatedly throwing pass after pass will tire the QB more, and repeatedly using the same pass strategy will result in the defense keying in and becoming more effective. That's not to say you can't use a pas-heavy offense, but you won't be able to just set your offense to all screens or all shotgun medium passes.February 28, 2011 at 11:24PM View BBCode
yeah i see the major nerf to screen passes which was justified, although too many now seem to go for no gain at all....you also need to look at short and medium passes, not in the shotgun, they complete at like 80% for 6 or more yards gained, so out of 3 downs passing each time, there is almost a 100% chance he will get a 1st down.... what is the counter?March 01, 2011 at 02:01AM View BBCode
Tire the quarterback? My opponent's back-up QB came in and darted 8 of 10 passes for 90 yards...!! :)Pages: 1
