Depth charts should include inactive list

February 17, 2011 at 12:46AM View BBCode

When I pull up my depth chart of Wide Receivers, also listed should be all my inactive Wide Receivers. And also with that, the action tabs for each player should include Act, Inact, Waive, To IR, and on Blk. This should happen for each position.

The main roster list is way too huge, and if i can see it broken down per position like this, it would be a lot easier.

Hmm ... that's an interesting idea.

Agreed, but now that my inactive list is down to 8 guys this seems less important than other things.

I had never thought about putting transaction actions on the depth charts. Interesting. I can think of a dozen potential issues but its worth looking at.

Or you could do it this way...at the top of the Roster page to the right of the Team Drop-down list, have a Drop-down list for particular positions (QB, WR, RB, LB, S, T, DT, DE, CB, C). This would not only be useful for managing one's own team, but useful in scouting you're opponent's team. By looking only at the WRs, or RBs, or even LBs, you can more easily adjust your strategy to take advantages of your opponents vulnerable spots, and shy away from your opponent's strengths.

I would LOVE to see this implemented. Positional filters on the Roster page so that it is easier to view different sections of the team. You could do an Offense/Defense filter as well.

i agree. i think you'd need an 'inactive' icon though, just so we know who isn't playing on any given day.

Hm. I might be able to do this "on the fly" so the page wouldn't have to be continually reloaded. Great idea.
