QB Ratings to Stats

OK, I'm curious about my guy, Greg Scott, who seems to be interception prone.

I will list his stats first and then ask my question.

Game - com/att, yds, TD, int

PS1 - 19/31, 204, 1, 1
PS2 - 27/42, 226, 1, 1
PS3 - 26/45, 340, 0, 2
PS4 - 20/36, 299, 1, 2
R1 - 20/27, 325, 2, 1

OK, my question relates to the interceptions that he is throwing. He has thrown 7 picks in 181 attempts, which is a rate of 1 INT per 25.85 ATT. In the NFL this season that would put him 6th worst in between Jon Kitna (5th, 200/8, 25) and Alex Smith (7th, 242/9, 26.88). Greg Scott has a worse INT rate than Henne, Palmer, Cutler and McNabb.

But, Scott has A+ throwing accuracy, which is rare in this league, and he has A attitude, A execution and A- throwing power.

Is it just bad luck? Or is the A- power killing him? Or do my WR's just suck? LOL

I think this may be a side effect of the current "test" defense. One unfortunate side effect of not having offensive strategy in place yet is that the defense always knows precisely what the offense will do.

There are two types of interceptions. The main interceptions are a straight-up contest between the receiver and the defender. Jumping, catching, execution, and pass coverage are used in the calculation. The other interceptions are additional interceptions based on QB errors, and are clearly marked as such, so if the interception does ot say "QB error" the QB had nothing directly to do with it. QB error interceptions are based on throw accuracy and execution. The two types of errors are normally split close to down the middle, but with your QB stats the QB error rate is probably close to nothing.

Sample size may be part of the issue, too. But I'll keep an eye on it.

Yeah, I have not seen the message regarding QB error, so I'm guessing it is just good coverage and poor WR's. Thanks.
