Rogovin ties all-time win record

In game 156, Mike Rogovin pitched 8 inn., allowing 1ER and defeated "A" rated pitcher Loial Ogier and Baltimore Privateers 7-3 to tie Nolan Fry's all-time win record of 322 victories. For good measure, Rogovin stole the first base of his 17 year career! He will have one start left, game 160 at Detroit to attempt to win #323.

Congratulations! Detroit looks forward to hosting Cleveland in the last series of the year . . . and what should be Rogovin's 164th career loss ;)

Rogovin failed in his bid for career win 323 in a 5-3 loss at Detroit in gm 160. With a 17-12 record, 3.87 ERA, will ABE bring him back at OS39 to get a chance to break the record? ABE once retired a pitcher of mine after leading the league in K's.

Maybe ABE did not like the contract you offered? :lol:

I wish there was a way we could override ABE on some of those retirement decisions.

Yes, he retired Willie Horton on me waaaaay too soon. The good news is Clevland has the opportunity to get me back if they can prevent Mark Fidrych from winning his 20th in game 162. It would be the first time we have a 20 game winner in a long time.
