You must admit, it is kind of interesting some of the things that you can make happen just by setting preferences.August 27, 2010 at 02:37PM View BBCode
The OGL is doing some league wide experimenting Jason, its not tanking per se, they're stacking one or two teams to see what happens. One of the teams had a guy hit 99 home runs with a .434 batting average.August 27, 2010 at 03:12PM View BBCode
i always wondered if he really did hit 99 of if he actually got more but the game engine didn't have a third digit in that category.August 27, 2010 at 03:14PM View BBCode

with one more bad pitching staff team to face, and smaller ballparks all over, it should be snap.*August 27, 2010 at 06:23PM View BBCode
[url=http://simdynasty.com/player.jsp?player=nobody&mode=stats&id=7110983]This guy[/url], who I didn't pick up until the very end of may, hit 51 homers. And .411. And won a gold glove.August 27, 2010 at 06:36PM View BBCode
it brings up an interesting point that many folks have talked about. everytime somebody says "we can't get a pitcher to strike out a batter per inning" we always say, "the teams are more stacked, the hitters are better top to bottom than on real teams." so we have six teams in the division that are filled with basically awful hitters, and still we couldn't get a K per inning.August 27, 2010 at 08:05PM View BBCode
he couldn't lead the league in era apparently, either. the whip was not bad though.August 27, 2010 at 08:07PM View BBCode
the pitcher that led the league in era only pitched one game against the zombies. durant pitched seven games against them, i believe.August 27, 2010 at 08:12PM View BBCode
which is not to to say (the previous thing about a k per inning) that there should be a lot of pitchers doing it. but i guess it should be possible.August 27, 2010 at 09:44PM View BBCode
i'd even go so far as to say it should have been probable, last season.August 28, 2010 at 01:15AM View BBCode

There is plenty of room for more HR's from a database standpoint.August 28, 2010 at 04:46AM View BBCode
As long as no one points to these cards someday and brags about these guys holding SD records, I have nothing but admiration for a group testing the limits of the game.August 28, 2010 at 02:19PM View BBCode

i believe that the ogl has also set records for most and least players on one roster. neither seem terribly compatible with the game engine, so i wouldn't recommend either. not that either is ever likely to happen outside of the ogl.August 28, 2010 at 04:08PM View formatted

the bad hitters on the other teams had nothing to do with the 403 ip. if anything, bad hitters make it harder for a pitcher to pitch a lot of innings (they get out easier). but nothing reallly makes it hard. it is easy to get a pitcher to pitch that many inning's of course).Pages: 1 2
