Cant demote players

August 13, 2010 at 11:01PM View BBCode

Can promote/waive, but neither the depth chart nor the promote/waive screen lets me demote guys.

You need to waive some of those guys you signed. I put some precautions in place to make sure this can't happen again to a team like yours. So just waive like 50 guys and I'll remove the salary adjustments that it creates.

it isn't bad at all. i thought i took my bid out on albosta, but i got it anyway. if it wasn't for that, no problem.

or it can be tom lewis if you all wild for the control rating. it doesn't matter to me.

or volsberg or werely if you want a hitter.

i like lewis better I'll admit, but both are nice. You do realize you need to get to a 40 man roster right?

don't need any forty players. the thing will totally play if it has 9 pitchers and 16 hitters. don't need no minor league, we're only playing two seasons.

and i can make the lineup play from the backup page without two catchers.
BigMacAttack

but you'll get a cap penalty of .5 mil for every player you are under 40 which means you'll need to get down to about 72 mil to not be over the cap

shrug. i will figure it out. you want that or you want me to cancel it?
BigMacAttack

August 14, 2010 at 06:47PM View BBCode

i already took it, do you want another one to get you down lower to deal with your penalty?

how does the engine handle the thing? does it waive somebody, or send something to another team? i am just curious.

(and no, you can't have any more pitchers. buy your own.)

Your team will suffer 3 penalties for being over the cap:

Decreased major league improves through damaged mentoring.

Decreased minor league improves (perhaps none? I'm not sure).

Decreased ability for every player on your team during each game you are over the cap. (This is huge, it drops players like, over a full letter grade of overall rating.)

You'll lose a minor league IC for each game.
