after lagging behind in 3rd or 4th place for much of the season, the strategos finally regained the wildcard spot, but for some reason, they've learned to play the barracudas tough, winning 7 of their last 9 meetings, including a sweep today... both teams top pitchers pitched in this series and the first two games were nailbiters, wes sullivan outdueled danny bailey in game 1 and dave bancroft hit a walkoff single to win the second... boston's promising youngster max corriden got roughed up in game 3, while washington's deacon ellis pitched on of his best games of the year... washinton now stands 5 games behind the barracudas, but kansas city isnt backing off either as they're still breathing down washington's neck, having won 6 in a row.... this is going to be a great race the rest of the seasonApril 28, 2004 at 01:55AM View formatted
